Nothing but a quickie
Apr. 9th, 2004 10:53 pmIt's been a busy week, and I have only got time for a short post.
Saturday we went to a violin class in Brattleboro with a lot of 6 and 7 year old girls. Whose idea was it to give a whole bunch of small children violin bows??? I wanna know. I think children should have nerf bows. It was frightening. Also, I had the fascinating experience of being introduced to an entire roomful of strangers as "Skywalker." Mortification followed, on my part only.
G. had a fabulous time, though. We also had a long talk about life and death because of a dead raccoon on the road. I'm not ready to have to talk about this yet, but it doesn't matter whether I'm ready or not, does it now?
Lots of music this week: Sunday it was Tom G's and for a little bit it started to come together in the magical way it does when it's right. Very exciting. And Tom G understood the ideas behind my proto-lyrics, and is willing to work with them as they begin to take shape. Then Monday was Shapeshifters at TH's, and we talked about performance venues and sang for several hours.
Much hectic energy for the rest of the week. Co-op meetings, morris practices, and, oh, yeah, work. And there was some art thrown in there, too.
