words fail me
Aug. 26th, 2004 01:25 pmIt was an action-packed week. I'm back to "reality," now, but I feel really different. The culmination of the week was at the ocean on Cape Cod on Monday (before M's car broke down in Lancaster and we had to be towed home at 4 a.m.), M and the sea and I had a three-way conversation that took in the sea and the sky and Everything. It was a day of powerful experience. Sorry to be cryptic. There are no words that I can find to truly and adequately describe what the last week has been like. Even the crazy car problems we had were indescribable. At some point, I might get a chance to write the actual physical details of some of the events, which do make for an amusing narrative.
In the meantime, here is some Rumi, translated by Nader Kalili:
i'm a spinner in dance
i want a musician
who spins with me
i want a Venus
twisting like Saturn
i am the life
seeking the essence
of the soul
i am not a sad bird
in ruins like an owl.
