I don't follow his career
I've seen him in a few things, but nothing that he starred in
He's pleasant to look at, but he's not my idea of a wikkedsuperhottie
I know virtually nothing about him, except that I have a vague idea that he's cynical and sarcastic.
Yet he keeps showing up in my nightly movies, over the years. Last night, I got to ask him why he keeps showing up in my dreams, and he had nothing to say about that.
I think this is pretty normal, right? It's funny, though, how some dreams are about other people and they're just other people. And then there's a category of dream where you're with somebody that you don't know in real life or don't know that well, and there's an instant and deep soul connection that feels like you've been best buddies with them for the last 17 lifetimes. And then, when you wake up, you still feel funny about that person, because the reality of the dream was so intense and strange that it won't go away. There is still no conscious connection, but the feeling of it--which comes from the subconscious, presumably--makes you wonder WTF is really going on. Sometimes they're about sex, too, which is also rather odd, especially when you know the person in, say, a work capacity and have dreams about them for several nights in a row. Not that I've ever had a dream like that, ahem.
What sort of purpose does this experience serve? I have a couple thoughts on this, but I wonder if anybody else has any ideas...
