Of breaking boundaries and other May Day activities

May Day is only days away. Tom went on a field trip for school and will be gone for five days. This morning, I found myself expanding into the space that he left: for several days, I don't have to think about arguing with anybody about what I did and why. What a relief. I have been shut in such a little tiny box I didn't even realize how small it was until the last few weeks.

The merry month of May approaches, and I am happily awaiting the approach of the wonderful holiday of dancing and being with friends. Particularly this year, one of the new dancers on the men's team is a close friend, and I'm very much looking forward to sharing his first dancing out.

Lawyer Kate is turning out to be a fabulous boss. I feel so incredibly lucky to have this job, and it was such a fluke that it happened at all.
