So, I finally saw Star Wars, episode 3. Yes, I'm behind the times. I don't want to talk about it.

Anyhoo. We went to the drive-in to see it, along with Fantastic Four (totally lame, btw. Unfortunately). Star Wars was fun to watch, but basically it, too, was pretty lame as I'm sure most of you know. What's up with Padme becoming this weepy pregnant girl who doesn't do anything, except the aforementioned weeping, and go miraculously from 2 months pregnant to 9 months pregnant in two days (and dies)? What happened to the kick-ass martial arts from Episode 1? Why did George Lucas even bother? And many other questions. Geez. And somebody ought to give GL an electric shock next time he tries to write dialogue. I mean, really.

I enjoyed it, but, man, it was sort of excruciating to watch. I saw the Original Star Wars a ridiculous number of times in the theater when it came out, yes, that's how old I am. *g* And, more than 20 times. I lurves the original trilogy. But, George. WTF??

There is a link to a script rewrite for Ep 3 here that some of you will like
