May. 30th, 2006 02:34 pmThe Deerfield River School (as in, some people doing art, that kind of school) began yesterday, May 29, 2006, on the banks of the Deerfield River, despite the fact that half of its company was suffering from food poisoning. We began with a session of what might be termed "extreme swimming," after which we were so numb it was difficult to hold a paintbrush. Nevertheless, we forged on, oblivious to adversity, until nearly sunset, working with various media to capture our lovely surroundings on paper (with varying success).
I, personally, was exhausted by this effort (see above regarding food poisoning) and had to go to bed early. But we are looking forward to the next outing of the Deerfield River School, during which no doubt we will continue to build upon our vast knowledge and experience.
The actual mystery is why it took me and
dangerousbeans so freeeeking long to figure out that we should do this.
