Conversations with Philip

My friend Philip said to me last week: "If you had 75 cents in your pocket, and the contra dance cost 65 cents, you'd go to the contra dance and figure something would work out. And it usually does."

Me:...[stunned speechless by the accuracy of the casual observation of my inner life].

Philip: It's an attractive quality, actually.

Me:...but, it's so impractical!
