May. 21st, 2009 10:43 pmBack in March, I met this young guy at the place where G. takes violin lessons. He was sitting in the office talking to the coordinator of the programs, and we had a very engaging, funny conversation, and I was struck by his wit and self-possession, and I thought he was about 12 17. I could tell he was a professional musician of some sort, but I didn't know anything else about him. As it turns out, he is older than 17 (he must be in his twenties), and apparently, he is Seth Glier, and he's been touring all over the place recently. Tonight I got to see him perform, entirely by coincidence, and I saw him and recognized him (and he recognized me, too, which shocked the hell out of me...who remembers anybody these days?). I was impressed with his performance and stage presence; and I love his voice. The two videos below don't show off his falsetto, but I am here to tell you that he has one and it is delicious. At any rate, I enjoyed myself thoroughly, and if this is your sort of thing and he tours in your area, you ought to go see him.
