But I loves teh Hotmail!

Some people were making fun of free users bitching about being in read-only. And I thought, "You know, I don't care if you're a free user--this site encourages free users to join up, thus it should provide proper functionality for them, period."

I'm sick of all the ads and stuff on hotmail...gmail seems to be better organized and nicely laid out.

The read-only thing was a pain...I will probably become a paid user at some point anyway, as I will want to have more than three icons someday. After I get one, that is. Still, at this point, free is free and I don't need more than what I have. Plus, I don't like to feel forced into things. So, tell all those people that they are a bunch of cynical LOSERS. <3 from me. *smiles sweetly*

Plus I can post comments directly from gmail, which I can't do on hotmail.

Have you seen the "Fear the Geek" website? http://www.fearthegeek.com its wicked cool. You can get T-shirts (which may be what my dad gets fer his birthday.) I love gmail too.

Geeks, OMG, don't talk to me about geeks today, I'm way more distracted than I need to be already. :) Talk to you LATER. I can't look at that website until Monday as I don't want to use Lawyer Kate's compulator for anything but my email. I am so GOOD. Ahem.

I think I want a gmail invite. First, though, I'd like to know: What IS the big deal about gmail? Why is it so popular all of a sudden? What does it DO?

HI!! I haven't been around in any substantial way for a couple of weeks. Very out of it, and finally starting to stretch my legs out in e-territory again.

The reason that I like gmail is the way it organizes your conversations---like little tabs. Plus the ads are extremely unobtrusive. And, instead of storing your email in one folder, you apply one or several labels to it instead, so it will be in all of those places if you are looking for it. You can search your emails by keyword. And you get 1000MB of storage. There are other more fancy things about it, but those are the simple things that impressed me. So...want an invite?

Also, (you knew I was going to get to this sooner or later) did you go to practice last week? I just wondered because I haven't seen you in a while and I skipped practice myself, due to the fact that *ahem* I suddenly found myself to be rather *cough* busy. But I do plan to go tomorrow. Maybe see you, maybe not, I guess. :)

I -would- like an invite to gmail, surely!

Unfortunately, due to a long string of illness/worn-outedness, I think I'll not be returning to Morrising this season. Perhaps next year. I may still make it to the pub now and again, or stop by to say hi, but I've been sick for 3 weeks straight now.

I hope all is well with you.
