Dec. 16th, 2004 06:50 pmBotheration. My life has been so frickin' busy I haven't had time to do anything but work. And we still won't have money for presents, so what is it all for, I ask you?
Much news, but can't really post everything now. Most important thing is that I am suddenly working as support staff for an Elder Law attorney for what I woulda thought was a ridiculous amount of money. Fortunately, she thinks it's a perfectly reasonable amount of money, so I smile and nod and file things and use the xerox machine and pretend that I am detail oriented and a Virgo. And she keeps the government from taking old peoples' houses, so I guess everything works out in the end, innit?
This of course doesn't mean that I have given up any of the other jobs, mind you, as the new job is only about 5-10 hours per week as it currently stands, plus I'm not sure if I can pretend to be a Virgo for longer than that.
Am now taking nominations for the hefty novel I will read during the winter. Current favs are: _War and Peace_, _The Tale of Genji_, or a trilogy of historical fiction by Polish Nobel Laureate Henryk Sienkievicz.
Next week, I hope to post a list of book recommendations based on all the books I've read this year, for you faithful readers. All 2 of you! ;)
